We are often asked what can we do to improve diesel MPG?

With the ongoing fuel prices rises and increased awareness of duty to minimise our carbon footprint we are all looking for something that improves fuel economy and reduces our trips to the pump. The rise in diesel car sales is a definite shift towards a desire for more economical travel and to be more environmentally conscious.

In response to new vehicle technologies we developed the DTUK® CRDe Fuel Saver System.

The CRDe+ MultiMap Digital Plug & Play Diesel Fuel Saving System from DTUK is available for a wide selection of Common Rail Diesel engines (and some turbocharged petrol engines)and improves power and torque by up to 10% and fuel economy by up to 20%.

The next generation CRDe+ is closely related to the all new CRD-T+ the latest evolution of our highly successful CRD-T system. In response to customer feedback, the system has been redeveloped to include onboard controls (as first featured on our PedalBox) used both for switching between maps and for making adjustments within the map itself. Also new to the system is an OFF setting. No longer do you need to disconnect the system in order to return to standard power, you can simply switch the system off when the additional power is not needed. The CRDe+ features an all new, faster processor for improved signal response and better power delivery.

Improved driveability as a useful extra effect

Economy is achieved by the use of an enhanced ignition map. This releases untapped power from the engine which leads to raised levels of efficiency, which in turn leads to reduced fuel consumption. The increase in torque facilitates a performance level and driving style that requires fewer revs per minute, therefore significantly lowering levels of fuel consumption. According to driving performance, savings of fuel consumption of between 15% and 20% are possible, meaning that your tuning pays off very quickly.

Some alternative systems on the market are set to overfuel your vehicle in the knowledge that the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) will capture the additional soot and smoke generated as a result. That is not how we like to do things at DTUK®. Our add-on electronic control units feature enhanced ignition control technology to ensure compliance with vehicle emissions standards and the continued safe operation of the DPF. This enhanced technology is designed to use the fuel as efficiently as possible, with soot and smoke being things of the past.

All of our CRDe+ systems are provided with vehicle specific looms featuring Original Equipment (OE) connectors for ease of fitment in a matter of minutes, meaning that the system can be removed at any time. Once the system is removed your car reverts back to factory settings, leaving no physical trace behind.

This system can be re-programmed to fit many other applications if you change your current car.*

Three individual tuning maps, specific to your vehicle, are placed into the memory of the system prior to dispatch. The reason behind this is that every vehicle is different and every driver has their own unique style. By providing 3 different options we are confident that at least 1 of the maps will suit both the driver and their vehicle.

All DTUK Diesel Tuning systems arrive to you carefully packed, complete with everything you will need for simple and straightforward installation. This includes full colour instructions, your diesel tuning system, the correct wiring harness including OE connectors

These units are Euro 4, 5 & 6 suitable and come with full TuV approval.
